Seeking Summer Adventures

When you think of summer what comes to mind? For me it’s long days playing in the sun, family vacations, ice cream galore, hikes to watering holes to cool off, morning bike rides, floating down the river, and the list goes on and on and on. Now that school is back in session and summer is coming to an end so is all this summertime fun, well, except… we can still eat ice cream galore. You just might have to do it with a hoodie on. 😉

With each summer we find ourselves doing more and more with J-Man, longer hikes, more backpacking trips, more technical single-track trails, and harder canyoneering routes, which creates amazing memories and makes it hard to let go of summer. Before summer is over we are already planning next summers adventures.

Because I hold onto summer as long as possible I have asked readers and friends to submit their Summer Snapshots: Seeking Adventure pictures. I love to see all the adventures everyone has had through out the summer and it keeps summer around just a little bit longer.

Mom and son bike riding in Canada. We spent a week biking rail trails in the Okanagan this summer of British Columbia. This is always my fav. Ride because of the intense heat and desert like conditions. We ended the ride by jumping off a bridge into the lake.
