We are a collective of outdoor bloggers that explore the issues that matter to hikers, backpackers, and other outdoor adventurers. Our team covers everything from trail reports and gear reviews to conservation and trail recipes. There’s a little something here for everyone.

I am the “Lead Sherpa” here at TrailSherpa.com and the Founder of Vestor Logic, a digital strategy and web design firm. I created Trail Sherpa to feed my passion for the outdoors by helping hikers and backpackers find their adventures and share their stories online.

Tom, Trail Sherpa’s content editor, created Two-Heel Drive, a Hiking Blog, in time for fall colors of 2005. He hiked every trail worth hiking in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to the middle of North Carolina in the summer of 2009. He’d rather be roaming the Blue Ridge.

Since 2004 Rebecca has run Calipidder.com, a site that offers trip reports, photographs, and gear advice for exploring California’s parks and remote backcountry on foot. Based in San Jose, California, Rebecca makes the best of her location by being equally technology nerd and mountain sports junkie.

I’ve been hiking for years, but my love for backpacking began when my family moved back to California when I was 16. I started SoCalHiker.netin 2010, creating trail guides for the routes I hiked in and around Southern California while training for the John Muir Trail. I lead weekly hikes in OC and LA in addition to the occasional backpacking excursion.

Our hearts are stuck in the Southern Appalachia region. In our minds, East Tennessee is the only place to be, surrounded by the glorious wonders of the old Appalachia Mountains. During the week we lead frantic lives raising a family and working for the man. On most weekends, we are following our hearts and dreams, playing in the outdoors enjoying the mountains and the woods from two feet and capturing them on memory card to share with others from their blog Appalachia & Beyond. We try to share this love of the outdoors (hiking and camping) with our teenage daughter and our constant 4 legged companion Clover always loves the adventures. In addition we have 5 cats, who are constantly try to plan our untimely demise, and one cute as a bag of buttons hamster Ms. Coo. Finally and most importantly we are in the works of expanding our family by 1. This expansion project should be complete sometime in early September. Her name is Dinah.

Brian is an avid ultralight backpacker, hiker, and self-confessed gear junkie. His blog is a great destination for in-depth gear reviews, trail reports, gear modifications, weight reduction tips, making your own gear (MYOG), tips & tricks and much more. Brian is also a Tenkara fly-fishing addict and recent convert to the minimalist barefoot running style.
