We work almost exclusively with WordPress so we’re not much help on Blogger.

That is cool but doesn’t the Connect stream do the same by allowing users to post a status update with a photo, video, or link that can then be shared to social networks?

Trail Head Locations, Downloadable GPX files, points of interest, trail track and elevation profile. That should be good for starters.

I like all of those suggestions. The Life stats is a challenge if it lives on a WordPress site. It would have to pull from the device or the database on the site. I also like the idea of images tethered to the map at points based on the image data. Some cameras offer that now. Showing them as POIs is a cool way to preview the trail.

Along with the above. I would like to be able to add landmarks and notes manually, since I rarely do that in the field. Perhaps a master sortable list of all hikes, similar to what I have on my site.
